October 27 & 28

The 2025 Fall conference will take place over two half days: October 27th & 28th.  This year we will host a half-day of sessions on Monday afternoon followed by a second half-day on Tuesday morning. To maximize opportunities to engage please plan on attending between 12-5 PM Monday and 9-1PM Tuesday.

Our conference theme is: Strengthening partnerships and foundations for the future. We hope that you will consider a variety of ways in which your programs and PK-12 partnerships are seeking innovative new ways to lead your programs into the future, then propose a session to share with your peers. (Additional proposal guidance is available on the submission form.) In addition, the conference will include designated sessions for deans/unit leaders, assessment directors, field experience directors, and certification officers that will provide opportunities for EPP faculty, administrators, and staff and PK-12 personnel to discuss issues and share solutions.

Conference Keynote Speaker:

Izayah Christopher

Izayah Christopher, a senior at Battle High School, will keynote this conference. Throughout his academic career, Izayah has used his voice to become a 2025 district champion speaker, but transcending the awards he receives is his love for voicing his passions. He kicked off the 2024-2025 school year as a speaker at the Columbia Public Schools Convocation ceremony. Here, he addressed teachers and shared the profound impact they have had in his life. Many of those teachers are alumni of the University of Missouri and have supported him through his many endeavors. He balances his role as varsity cheer captain who has received all-state recognition with his leadership on the Battle speech and debate team as speech captain and his academic career as a gifted student, AVID scholar, and rising valedictorian with a perfect GPA. To him, all of these accolades create a bigger and brighter picture for his future as an educator. Since elementary school, he has recognized a love for teaching and plans to extend the legacy of the many educators who uplifted him. In each new chapter of Izayah’s life, he strives to fill it with his love, dedication, and hard work to create a world that is more educated, understanding, and authentic.

  • Two time district champion in speech

  • Finalist in Missouri’s state speech tournament

  • Keynote speaker at Mizzou’s Teacher Education Conference

  • All-American recognition in cheer

Izayah plans to continue his education at Mizzou.
